本季第2號「大三元製造機」James Harden（哈登）在9日又拿大三元，全場攻下40分10籃板11助攻，率火箭以129比122擊敗暴龍，8連勝快意到手。

這是Harden本季個人第10次大三元，也是生涯首次單季大三元次數達雙位數，在Mike D'Antoni的戰術體系中可說是如魚得水。

火箭在打完前三節還以4分落後，但Eric Gordon和Trevor Ariza聯手在第四節初打出一波15比0攻勢，暴龍雖然由DeMar DeRozan連續得分給予回應，但從未將分差拉近至5分以內，只能將勝利讓人。

Gordon和Ariza最終分別拿下19、17分，火箭另一致勝功臣是二年級生Montrezl Harrell，全場13投12中拿下28分。

暴龍以DeRozan攻下36分表現最佳，DeMarre Carroll拿下平生涯紀錄的26分，還投進個人生涯新高6記三分球，無奈依然吞敗，暴龍連續2場比賽都被逆轉取勝。

對此DeRozan相當洩氣：「這種感覺真的很差，尤其連續2天都發生一樣的狀況。」暴龍前役在第四節遭公牛追平，歷經延長賽後吞敗。

國民球團和替補外野手Chris Heisey之間的合約，終於在今天拍板定案，最後雙方確定以一紙1年140萬美元的合約再續前緣。雖然最後合約的改動和ESPN記者Jerry Crasnick上週報導的差異不大，但關於激勵獎金的部分，或許有可能再變動。

2016年Heisey多是以代打身分出賽，最令人印象深刻的表現，莫過於在季後賽首輪對戰道奇時轟出1發代打2分砲，讓國民看到晉級的一線生機，好表現也讓他季後能獲得一紙合約。

Heisey本賽季打擊率.216，轟出9發全壘打、17分打點，另外他除了能擔當代打外，還能守三個外野的位置，可說是一個相當好用的工具人。

今年再次挑戰國聯冠軍賽又失敗的國民，季末的首要任務就是鞏固原有的球隊陣容，並積極補強戰力薄弱的部分，用一張價格便宜的短約簽下Heisey來保持替補的戰力，可說是相當划算。
